The story is told of a young man who started out his brand new job at a timber company as the best worker, but then towards
the end of the week he was the least effective worker. The foreman was on the verge of dismissing him, but it wasn’t because of his lack of effort. He was too busy working hard to sharpen his ax.
Have we stopped to ‘sharpen our ax’, or are we so busy rushing around? Do we need to stop and take time to ‘sharpen our lives’ with prayer?
If God loves us so much, and knows everything about us, Why does God want us to pray? What was Jesus pattern of prayer as he ministered to so many people?
